Shinrin-Yoku or forest therapy was started by the Japan Forest Agency.

The term was coined in 1982 by Akiyama Tomohide, director of the Agency.

This Hooded Maxi Kimono made of 100% Tencel bears the name Shinrin Yoku in gratitude to the trees.

Tencel is the most environmentally friendly cellulosic fiber available today.

It is produced exclusively from the wood pulp of eucalyptus trees certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)

and the fiber carries the Pan-European Forest Council (PEFC) seal of quality.
